Why KKI Still Exists?

That question gets asked a lot. There are many answers too. Some say it is that they love being around men of Kappa. Some say it is the "rogue" ladies who just want to be different. I think for those who really know, it is much deeper.

One reason quoted is the deep history of the organization. I won't get into philosophical reasoning behind it, but the formal organizations of KKI (Sweethearts or Kittens or Karnations or whatever) date all the way back to 1947 (some say even further).

Another reason quoted is the sense of purpose and history is not lost among many of those chapters still existing. Also the repurposing of those chapters to add to the legacy of the Kappa founders by include some objectives that reach out to the female community as a whole. And the fact that the historical roots are greatly respected.

So some of these are reasons why they still exist, but it is also best to check with them directly. I created a section of my website that talks about and is dedicated to these group of women as a favor to several friends.

Here is a link to their site: KKI Home Page
