This is too bad. Understandable, but too bad.

However still I would promote WiX everywhere and to every developer. In fact I spend time fixing people’s scripts every time.

In working with a customer we ran into this issue from MOSS Content Deployment. This is a good one to keep in your back pocket if you disable file compression as Stefan discusses in his blog entry.

Awesome… now we can copy ACLs between files. Next we need to be able to get a “ADD-Acl” which I guess should not be much harder than the example Jeffrey showed below.

I spent a few minutes and wrote Copy-Acl.  I hope you enjoy it.  I’ve also attached it as a file to this blog.

Using the Certmgr tool you can manage certificates through the command line. Unfortunately it is not part of a default Windows install. It is part of the SDK and .NET Framework as well.

certmgr [/add | /del | /put] [options] [/s[/r registryLocation]] [sourceStorename] [/s[/r registryLocation]] [destinationStorename]
