The first Trackback.. :-) That
should count for something...
Really cool video. He kept talking about the Outfit... Maybe now he'll shut
up about it... (just kidding)
What I really needed to see is how you play it and what the basic methods of
play are. Seems more management instead of shooting. You are only shooting if
you have to. Now to figure out how the rest of us can get a case. ;-)

Thanks to Major
Nelson. There was an update today (I think I got it late last night). Here's
to hoping more of my games make the list.

Bill Vaughn gives a good overview of why you would not want to use Access for multi-user applications. For that MSDE/SQL Server Personal/SQL Express is better.

GO Mono. Miguel was interviewed
by the Server Side.Net. Nice to see where the platform is compared to where it
started. I hope VB.Net can catch on more. It really can make some day to day
programming easier.

Another branch of .TEXT has been recently released. Subtext
seems very nice and simple blogging engine to use. If you want something simple,
this may be one to look closely at.

Important
updates to how Internet Explorer works. I HIGHLY recomend that people
install the optional update and start developing with it every day. That way any
issues are discovered early. I installed it when it was optional (which is why
sometimes it is good to install ALL updates, even optional ones) so I have seen
this behavior for a little while now.
The important thing is that this change will be permanent by July. One
interesting think I thought about is that WinFX and ClickOnce applications would
get around this to an extent. So esentially older "ActiveX" type controls
probably are being slowly phased out for the more complete ClickOnce and WinFX
applications since they don't rely on a web browser to work fully (thus
getting around the pattent).

Much love goes out to the family of Corey D. Watson, both blood and
fraternal. I hope all those who were touched by this life continue to carry that
light burning bright.

Yeah Toshiba is back
to normal prices. Originally the R10 could be configured and started around
$800. Now on the site the R15
starts at $1150. I should have bought it. Luckily I convinced my Mom to buy one
in time. I had her customize it and it only cost her 1200 with a gig of memory
and a processor/hard drive upgrade.

Well due to advertising on Channel 9, ther now is traffic on the blog. I am glad to contribute bug
fixing and working hard on a "special" feature. Visual Studio Templages for .NET
1.1 objects.
I hope to eventually complete all the items by the time when MSBee is
released.

The Federal
Developer web site is pretty nice. Good to see them using SharePoint.
Being a former support person for SharePoint, I am glad that in-roads are
being made for the product.
Thanks to Marc
for putting this up.

Using the text part feature, you can create a list of custom links for your
blog. The documentation is not there on how to use it, but the forums
have a pretty good explanation.
Now to get PostXING to change from brackets to < and > signs or
something else for the currently playing feature...

Many people don't know how to "properly" use
Visual Source Safe. Usually exclusive checkout is something you
DON'T want to do when you have several developers working on a
project.
So many places I have been decided on the exclusive check out for "easier"
merging, but you sacrafice speed of development since only one person can check
out a file at one time. Also the concept of branching and merging between
branches are not understood fully either.
A basic course on using version control systems properly would be a good
seminar for Microsoft to provide so that SourceSafe, Visual Studio Team System,
even other third party tools like Subverson (I love the Windows integration component) can be
understood and implemented better.
